This test has been developed by a multidisciplinary team from the University of San Diego with the aim of achieving a wisdom scale with a Abbreviated version of the SD-Wise-28 Wisdom Test. This type of brief tests are very useful in large population studies and in clinical practice.

The new SD-Wise-7 test consists only of 7 questions and in its development, the research team showed that the chosen questions were strong wisdom indicators, and that there was a Great correlation with the results of the original test. This means that if you answer both tests, the wisdom index obtained is very similar with the advantage that this abbreviated test uses only 7 questions instead of 28.

Wisdom is a personality feature consisting of seven components: self -reflection, prosocial behaviors, emotional regulation, acceptance of various points of view, decision, social advice and spirituality. It is a potentially modifiable feature and that is strongly associated with well -being.
